Committee: Committee of Public Safety

In 1793, one of the most tumultuous years in the French Revolution, the Committee of Public Safety was formed. Acting as France's de facto government, the Committee had control over everything from foreign policy to local governance. The Committee will need to deal with domestic political opposition from France's different revolutionary groups and defend France against European monarchies that oppose the revolutionary movement. Furthermore, committee members must grapple with internal deceit. The fate of France and the revolution rests in the hands of the delegates of this committee. In the midst of both domestic and foreign turmoil, they must decide what steps France should take.
