Joint Crisis Committee: Sepoy Rebellion 1857: British Cabinet

In the age of the Industrial Revolution, the British Empire has become a dominant force on the international scene. As we continue to expand our influence through the farthest horizons, the Indian peninsula would be a fine gem to have under our control. Through conquest and diplomacy, we have been able to tame several autonomous Indian kingdoms over the past two decades, including the downfall of the revered Moghul Empire. Their failed empires are a testament to the success of our superior modern practices, and with our help these people can achieve their greatest potential under the rule of the British flag.

This Cabinet shall simulate the leaders of the British Empire who hold positions relevant to governance over the Indian province. Delegates should be prepared to debate the many social and political issues involved with ruling a distant colony, although as cabinet members of a great Empire we should be well-versed and prepared to debate on the many other issues that affect our Empire as a whole. The events that unfold will lay the foundations for many of the future policies of British Rule for years to come. Murmurs of discontent have been brewing over some of our more radical rulings over the province, however, fellow ministers, we must be ready to defend the crown and advance her goals by any means possible.
