The year is 1814. Napoleon has finally been defeated, but Europe has been ravaged by twenty-five years of war. The French conquest of Europe and the subsequent collapse of Napoleon’s empire have left the continent in a state of complete political disarray, and revolution is brewing in many countries. In an attempt to restore order, the leaders of Europe’s most influential nations have met in Vienna in order settle the many issues brought about by the recent wars, and to ensure that nothing like Napoleon’s conquest will ever happen again. It is up to you to map out the political landscape of Europe for centuries to come. Maps will be redrawn, alliances will be forged and broken; the political future of Europe is in your hands. Will your nation emerge as a leader in the new European order, or will you be lost in the political shuffle? This committee will involve diplomacy in its purest form. It will be up to the delegates to form alliances and compromises in order to create a stable balance of power while still managing to further the interests of their individual nations.
