Ingsoc has ruled Oceania for as long as its people can remember—partially because it erased any traces of a past world before the party. Taking place more than 30 years after the events in the novel, Ingsoc has a whole new slew of problems to face. The ever-present revolutionary network called The Brotherhood is increasing in membership, finding more unique ways to hide from Ingsoc, while also indoctrinating the proletarians to fight for the cause. Rumor has it that certain members of the inner party are no longer faithful to Big Brother. The cycle of perpetual war is threatened, with Eastasia seeming hesitant to continue, wanting to rid their government of totalitarianism.

The Inner Party of Ingsoc must address these growing issues of revolution and foreign threat, while “getting with the times”—figuring out how to strategically implement certain technologies in order to better surveil their citizens without compromising the power of the government and its authoritative rule. Will Ingsoc launch a military campaign to fight anti-authoritativeness abroad? How will Ingsoc react to rebellion? Will Ingsoc remain the ruling party of Oceania? However the committee chooses to respond, one thing is for certain: Big Brother is watching you.
