Buzzfeed Board of Directors

Buzzfeed Board of Directors,
Buzzfeed is no longer turning profits. Long ago are the 2015 and 2016s, the prime of Buzzfeed, when the media giant pumped out dozens of viral click worthy videos, quizzes and articles a day. Their videos and series earned billions of views on Youtube, and some of their employees became full fledged internet personalities. But Buzzfeed is fading. The company has not maintained its old view counts, and lost talent like the Try Guys and Safiya Nygaard, who are now flourishing independently. They also recently faced public scrutiny over a mass layoff of employees.

Still, it retains some popular and profitable properties, like Worth it, Tasty, and Unsolved. Even though Youtube can be unsteady with creator crises like demonetization strikes, Youtube has been a consistent revenue stream for Buzzfeed that they wish to expand. As Buzzfeed moves to turn their full attention towards video content, and re establishing their hold on the Youtube home and trending pages, they’re meeting to discuss the future of the company and next steps.

How do we create and sell a brand like Buzzfeed? Who are we selling to, and how?

Should employees unionize? How should individual creators, traditional media, and new media corporations like Buzzfeed interact? What new talent should be brought in?

How is influencer culture affecting society, and how do we capitalize upon that? What makes good content? And is that the same as successful content? What would you do to stay relevant?
