International Court of Justice

CRISIS COMMITTEE

This committee is for advanced delegates, will require thorough preparation before the conference, and will have a unique (not crisis committee) format.

Long-standing peace between Aglovale and Ragnell has fractured as tensions in the Clarent Belt resurface. With both nations turning to the International Court of Justice, students will have the opportunity to act as legal counsel, offering a rare chance for students to delve deeply into public international law—the language of diplomacy and international affairs. Teams of three to five students will be presenting their arguments before the Honorable Court as agents of Aglovale or Ragnell, engaging in a stimulating examination of military conduct, state responsibility, and non-state actors in this multifaceted legal challenge. All rise—the International Court of Justice is now in session.
