JCC Hurricane Katrina
August 26, 2005. Hurricane Katrina has just intensified to a Category 2 in the Gulf of Mexico. It has already devastated Florida’s southern tip and the panhandle, causing $523 million in damage. It is now headed straight towards the coast of Mississippi and New Orleans, Louisiana. Local government must prepare the residents of New Orleans for the imminent destruction of the hurricane. Federal government must plan how they will aid the devastated communities. The two governments must work together to save the city and the people of New Orleans.
