Nairobi City Council
Specialized general assembly
Environmental injustice is a major concern in Nairobi, Kenya. The environment is not just polluted but rather, the pollution is intentionally directed towards the low income residential areas. The residents of these areas experience the hazardous impacts of the injustice characterized by water, air and land pollution mainly due to dumping of toxic and plastic waste.
Over the years, futile attempts have been made to tackle the issue, and it seems to be getting out of hand. What exactly are the impacts of pollution on the residents of these areas? How can this challenge be tackled to ensure fostering equality? How can the future of environmental matters be revamped? The liberation of these marginalized communities may stem from this Specialized General Assembly Committee. From you, delegates!
