The Borg, an advanced alien collective that assimilates other species into its hive mind, endangers our way of life. At the same time, the Romulans, the Federation's centuries-old rival, threaten our borders with regular incursions. It is your duty, as a member of the Federation Council and representative of your home planet, to safeguard the fate of hundreds of Federation worlds. At your disposal will be Starfleet Command with its thousands of ships, the resources of the many Federation member worlds, and billions of citizens whose survival will depend on your choices. Our most sacred tenet and guiding light will, as always, remain the Prime Directive: the fundamental respect for all species' right to make decisions unimpeded by outside interference.
