The Commission on the Status of Women

The Commission on the Status of Women is a vital United Nations Organ dedicated to addressing issues of gender equality and dedicated to the advancement of women globally. For Topic A, delegates will consider the issue of women's political empowerment and be asked to devise solutions to expand women's role in political processes. Delegates will consider ways of empowering women globally despite differences in baseline participation across member nations. For Topic B, delegates will address the issue of gender-based violence and femicide. Delegates will consider how to create widely-encompassing solutions that create better forms of preventing and addressing issues of gender-based violence in all of its different forms.
